| Why
is NOMEX®
Comfort superior to other heat and flame retardant
fabrics? |
| The
answer is the patented mixture of 95 % NOMEX®
and 5 % KEVLAR® high-tenacity Aramid
and an antistatic component. The result is NOMEX®
Comfort - an especially for protective clothing
developed heavy duty fibre. It offers an optimum
of flame resistance, heat protection, chemical resistance
and a perfect wear comfort.
Compared
to other fibres for protective clothing as e.g.
flame retardant (FR) wool, FR cotton and usual
Aramid fibres NOMEX® Comfort possesses
the longest protective effect against flames before
reaching the threshold of pain or 2nd degree burns.
These can be life saving seconds for escaping
from the danger zone.
